There has been much interest in 2012 and the end of the world. Hollywood released a new blockbuster in 2009, titled 2012, based on the Mayan calendar ends abruptly on December 21, 2012. But what of this, and what does this mean for humanity?

This is a catastrophic outcome for the planet Earth or is simply the end of the world as we know it?

The Mayans predicted throughout our history, times of drought, flooding and political instability. The end of the calendar in the December 21, 2012 is believed to have two different interpretations.
